Patch 2.3 rolls out on 17 July 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with the Switch 2 Ultimate Edition following later. The headline features: hands-free driving, on-demand Delamain cabs, fresh photo-mode toys, and full Mac (Apple Silicon) support. Below is everything that actually matters.
New wheels
Four additions to the garage
- Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru — unlocks after The Hunt and The Beast in Me. A side job later adds CrystalCoat™.
- Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred” — appears after the full Beast in Me arc plus Transmission and Search and Destroy.
- Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa — need one Yaiba purchase, three AUTOFIXER buys, and You Play with Fire…. Fail the quest? AUTOFIXER still sells it.
- Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila — straight up for sale at AUTOFIXER.
AutoDrive and cinema cam
Hold H (PC) or the left stick (consoles) and your vehicle handles the route. Combat or heavy damage switch it off. Want a scenic view? Hold Q (PC) or D-pad right for the cinematic camera.
Delamain on call
Finish Don’t Lose Your Mind, then choose “Delamain Cab” in the vehicle menu. It shows up like any other ride.
CrystalCoat™ for most vehicles
Partner brands and even bikes can now wear Rayfield’s paint tech. Hacker Cosmetic_Troll leaked a budget version for lower-end cars, but nomad builds and some quest rides still refuse it.
Photo Mode tweaks
- 27 new NPC models — Rita Wheeler, the Cassel twins, fixers, Dum Dum, the iguana, Brendan, and others.
- Toggle outfit variants for NPCs and switch V’s saved wardrobe sets on the fly.
- Exit prompt stops you losing a setup by accident.
- New stickers, frames, deeper depth-of-field controls, and a fresh Color Balance tab.
Quality of life
- The game now spots inverted mouse buttons and flips prompts automatically.
- Aim-down-sights can run on toggle or hold — your choice.
Quest fixes
- Bloody Ritual journal prompt retires once the shard is cracked.
- Sex on Wheels now appears after Jake’s text.
- Shot by Both Sides loses the nameless item and gains a working lift button.
Gameplay polish
- In Trauma Drama the controllable NPC no longer fires into the clouds on gamepads.
- Auto guns regain their intended fire rate.
- Extra cyberware-capacity shards can drop if you missed earlier ones.
- Level 60 Engineer perk only triggers EMP in combat.
- You can replay the tutorial any time via Settings → Controls.
Miscellaneous
- Stare at Johnny for a couple of seconds and you can politely tell him to vanish for a few in-game days.
- V’s Radioport no longer gets hijacked by passing NPC chatter.
- HDR calibration screen now shows an accurate preview.
- Updated EULA — expect a fresh accept prompt.
- Plenty of texture and localisation clean-ups.
PC extras
- FSR 4 (pending driver), FSR 3.1 Frame Gen, Intel XeSS 2.0, and HDR10+ Gaming support.
- DLSS preset no longer secretly swaps models after restart; tooltip is clearer.
- Borderless window lets the cursor jump to another display.
- Save-file cap rises from 12 MB to 15 MB.
- The “jump out of car” key (Stuntjock) is now rebindable.
Consoles
- VRR lands on PS5 and Series X|S.
- PS5 foliage finally reacts to weather properly.
Cyberpunk 2077 on Mac
The game is now native on Apple Silicon. Own it on GOG, Steam, or Epic? Just download and play on a compatible Mac. Check CDPR’s site for the exact hardware list.
Bottom line
Update 2.3 won’t rebuild Night City from scratch, but every drive, screenshot, and save slot gets a noticeable boost — and Mac users are no longer left out.
