Blizzard Entertainment has officially unveiled the Warlock, a formidable new class poised to expand the roster of three different titles in the franchise. This dark practitioner is set to join Diablo IV as a centerpiece of the upcoming Lord of Hatred expansion and will arrive in the mobile-focused Diablo Immortal this June. However, fans of the classics don’t have to wait, as the Warlock is playable starting today in Diablo II: Resurrected via the brand-new Reign of the Warlock DLC.
To celebrate the reveal, Blizzard debuted a haunting cinematic trailer depicting the Warlock archetype—a versatile figure whose grim aesthetic bridges the gap between the three games. In Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, the Warlock will stand alongside the previously announced Paladin class when the expansion officially launches on April 28.

The Lord of Hatred expansion is priced at $49.99, with preorders granting immediate access to the Paladin and day-one access to the Warlock this spring. For those revisiting the past in Diablo II: Resurrected, the Reign of the Warlock content can be purchased individually for $24.99 on Battle.net. Alternatively, it is included in the Infernal Edition bundle, available for $39.99 across both Battle.net and Steam.

Blizzard describes the Warlock as a “master of dark magic, forbidden rites, and knowledge the world refuses to understand. Hardened by betrayal and driven by survival, they stand ready for whatever may come their way.” This class promises to offer a unique tactical edge for players who prefer manipulating the occult to decimate the legions of Hell.
