Challenges at the Launch of GTA Online Enhanced

Every launch comes with its share of issues. The release of GTA Online Enhanced on PC was no exception. Over the past week and a half, players have encountered various problems, some of which have been partially resolved.

The first challenges arose for players trying to transfer multiplayer progress from the old version to the new one. Based on our own experience, it can now be stated that migration is proceeding successfully.

In terms of GTA+ subscription, there may still be delays, not only in the 10 countries where the paid subscription is unavailable, but also in others. For example, a prepayment processed in Poland only became active after a couple of hours. So if you decide to subscribe, patience is key.

Optional disabling of text chat is an important feature. However, its complete absence is certainly a downside. Currently, it is known that developers are working on a solution and have even left a relevant comment in the game code.

One bug even allowed some players to capitalize on it. The Karin S95 sports car, available for free to all returning players (those who transferred their character from Legacy to Enhanced), was mistakenly not provided for free. However, those who purchased it and contacted technical support received a compensation equal to the car’s price. Today, this issue was fixed, and all affected players were compensated with the car’s cost, meaning some received twice the 1,995,000 GTA$.

Another issue reported yesterday also affects the enhanced PC version’s story mode of GTA 5. It is currently temporarily impossible to upload videos to YouTube from the Rockstar Editor.
