Brazilian GTA “171” Gains New Depth with Professions Update

Clean up the streets or become a local hero by saving lives.

Betagames Group is steadily advancing the development of “171” through Steam’s Early Access program. This open-world sandbox is frequently described as a project heavily inspired by the classic Grand Theft Auto formula.

The most recent update was specifically “designed to broaden role-playing opportunities and deepen interaction with the game world.” To that end, the developers have introduced three new career paths for the protagonist:

  • Sanitation Worker: Players are tasked with collecting refuse and transporting it to the designated landfill.
  • Bus Driver: You are now responsible for ferrying passengers throughout the city following specific, predetermined routes.
  • Paramedic: Behind the wheel of an ambulance that can accommodate up to three people, players must respond to emergencies, rescue the injured, and rush them to the hospital.

Key Fixes and Improvements:

  • Service vehicles (excluding police cruisers) now feature infinite fuel to prevent mission interruptions.
  • Truck engine audio has been reworked to provide a more realistic and immersive soundscape.
  • Bicycle physics have been tweaked to resolve issues that previously made movement and pedaling feel clunky.
  • Buses are now equipped with functional interior and exterior lighting systems for nighttime operations.
  • Addressed collision detection issues involving parked cars at the Medical Center.
