Activision has repeatedly maintained that it continuously refines and enhances its anti-cheat measures. The most recent update even mandates enabling TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
The Black Ops 7 beta went live at 7:00 PM Moscow time for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers and players who pre-ordered the game. Within a few hours, the PC build began to see cheaters using tools that let them spot opponents through walls and consistently land headshots.
According to Activision, Black Ops 7 employs the most advanced Ricochet system, purportedly capable of detecting and apprehending any cheater. The anti-cheat is presented as so rigorous that it requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on PC.
Console players are relieved to have the option to disable crossplay.
