Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment kindly sent us a brand new trailer for Back 4 Blood. Lasting almost four minutes, it returns to the famous card system that the developers of Turtle Rock Studios have already told us about. For those who do not know the principle, remember that an adaptive AI – called the Game Director – will analyze the actions, health and choices of players to, then, modify environmental conditions, add obstacles, and release obstacles. Of course, players will be able to use specific cards intended to counter the Game Director., allowing them, for example, to optimize their equipment or reload their weapons as they face hordes of enemies. Note that the cards will not be available for sale, although some of them will be included in paid DLC. Turtle Rock Studios takes the time to point out that there will be no pay-to-win, and that additional cards will be offered to everyone after the game is released.
Finally, the developers add that those who do not want to create their own deck can go through a selection of predefined cards. The output of Back 4 Blood is set for October 12 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox One.
