Fans of the Persona series have been yearning for news regarding the next mainline installment for nearly a decade—and it appears their patience may finally be rewarded.
Atlus is currently orchestrating a series of events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Persona franchise, which will take place in 2026. This was revealed by studio director and producer Kazuhisa Wada during an annual developer survey conducted by the Japanese publication 4Gamer.net.
“Persona will mark its 30th anniversary in 2026. As a gesture of gratitude to our global community, we are developing a diverse range of worldwide initiatives, so please look forward to them! We will also have opportunities to discuss future developments for the series. Preparations are in full swing, and the entire Atlus team is dedicated to fueling excitement for Persona. We appreciate your continued support!”
While Wada refrained from naming specific projects, his mention of “future developments” immediately caught the eye of fans who have long anticipated a new numbered entry in the saga.
In a separate note, producer Atsushi Nomura highlighted that Atlus has received “significant support” from the audience regarding the Persona 4 Revival project. According to him, the studio intends to share more information regarding the project at a later date, though he did not provide a specific timeline or further details.
