Explosive damage has also been refined. Embark says explosions were sometimes “dealing damage to more parts at once than intended, allowing weapons like the Hullcracker to kill larger drones too quickly.” The system has been made more consistent, and the Hullcracker’s damage has been rebalanced to reflect that — expect its shots to demand a bit more precision moving forward.

A few crash fixes and collision corrections are included as well, but the patch’s most delightful addition might be its nickname. The release notes are subtitled the “duck update,” and the miscellaneous section cheerfully mentions that “your Raider Den has been ducked out,” accompanied by an image of a player sitting on their bed surrounded by a legion of rubber ducks.

Although not stated outright, it seems likely this change responds to a recent Reddit post from a player who complained that, despite collecting over 600 rubber ducks, only nine could be displayed in their den. “Please tell me the guy with hundreds of ducks is still here to confirm this means what I think it means,” one player writes, sharing the patch note.

That Reddit user hasn’t updated their thread at the time of writing, so I can’t personally confirm whether their entire collection now appears in their Raider Den — I did check immediately after seeing the notes. Still, it’s easy to hope they’re proud to have inspired the change when they install the update.
