Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams, acclaimed for her performance in My Week with Marilyn, has officially joined the ensemble of Damien Chazelle’s latest untitled project. Deadline reports that the La La Land director has secured the actress for a key role in the upcoming production.
Williams joins a powerhouse cast already headlined by Cillian Murphy and Daniel Craig. The narrative, penned by Chazelle himself, is set within the confines of a prison. Paramount Pictures is slated to distribute the film, with a theatrical debut currently scheduled for late 2027.
The news follows Williams’ recent Golden Globe win for her leading role in the limited series Dying for Sex. Additionally, she is set to appear in the legal thriller A Place in Hell later this year.
