3/10 for Repairability: Apple Watch Series 10 Cannot Be Fully Disassembled Without Breaking
Experts at iFixit disassembled the Apple Watch Series 10 46mm. The process was similar to models from previous generations: you need to heat the display to detach it and access the internals.
Inside, you gain access to a 327 mAh battery (roughly the same capacity as before), an updated smaller Taptic Engine, and the system board. Notably, the Series 10 uses conventional adhesive, whereas in the iPhone 16, Apple started using new adhesive that allows for easy battery removal if a small electrical charge is passed through it.
No other components of the watch can be accessed: to reach the sensors on the back panel, you would have to break the watch. This is why it scored only 3 out of 10 on the repairability scale, although previous models received scores of 5-6.
