Twitch Prepares for GTA 6 Release
In an interview with MeinMMO, Mike Minton, Head of Monetization at Twitch, discussed the platform’s plans for the release of GTA 6 in 10 months.
- Game streams will be divided into several stages. Initially, the focus will be on single-player, later shifting to multiplayer, which is even more important for the platform. Then, attention will turn to RP servers, which will either appear through player efforts or the tools provided by the developers. The life cycle of Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be long, similar to the previous installment.
- The team is working with both Rockstar Games and Take-Two to make “six” as popular as possible. Various promotions with giveaways and gifts will be organized for the audience.
- When asked directly about official RolePlay servers, no direct answer was given, but confidence was expressed that the platform will play a crucial role in the success of GTA 6.
Throughout the conversation, the specialist repeatedly emphasized how in-demand GTA 5 is on Twitch.
