The digital debut of the zombie horror sequel ’28 Years Later’ is scheduled for February 17. This latest chapter in the franchise, sparked by the vision of Danny Boyle and Alex Garland, will be available for home viewing sooner than many anticipated.
Such an expedited release window suggests that the distributor has pivoted away from its theatrical strategy after a lackluster performance. Subtitled ‘Temple of Bone,’ the film grossed a disappointing $56 million against a $63 million production budget, marking it as one of the most significant box office setbacks of 2026.
Directed by independent filmmaker Nia DaCosta, the sequel features a cast led by Ralph Fiennes and Jack O’Connell.
