Impressions from the Tekken 8 Demo – A Worthy Continuation of the Legendary Fighting Game Series

Impressions from the demo version of Tekken 8 — the new installment of the legendary fighting series:

• No fundamental changes compared to the previous part, but there are several special mechanics that change the gameplay;
• The “Special Style” function allows you to enable a simplified mode, where combos are made much easier. Also, a new special move gauge has appeared, which can change the course of the battle;
• Introduced is an “Arcade Mode”, in which you control a cartoonish avatar and navigate through small locations, fighting other players or bots. You improve your rating and unlock bonuses for these battles;
• The main plot is once again filled with pathos and hours of cutscenes. The first chapter looks simply stunning. The Mishima family feud enters a new level;
• For those who have never delved into the series’ story, seven stylish videos have been prepared, which dynamically tell about all past events;
• 32 characters and additional game modes are expected at release. Developers write that this will be the most significant project in the series.

Tekken 8 — a worthy continuation of the series, which has not lost the merits of past parts, and is recognized from the first strike. Innovations look fresh and organic, developing a familiar concept.

Tekken 8 will be released on January 26, 2024, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
