“I completely understand that fan craving for more information—the ‘feed me!’ mentality,” he continued. “But we are actively creating. We prefer to wait for the perfect moment to reveal things, and we want to ensure those reveals are truly memorable for the community.”

Emil Pagliarulo, the veteran quest designer who recently steered the ship for Starfield, shared his aspirations for the next iteration of the wasteland. “I hope for a title that matches the success of its predecessors while delivering exactly what players crave,” he remarked. He emphasized creating the kind of immersive experience that players inhabit for “hundreds of hours—200, 400, or even 600—because that’s the DNA of the games we build.”

Pagliarulo also subtly acknowledged how industry standards have shifted during the long intervals between releases. Mentioning the rumored Oblivion remaster as an example of modernizing the classics, he noted, “In the original Oblivion, you couldn’t even sprint. Naturally, we’d update that for a remaster. The industry has evolved, and we intend to evolve alongside it.”
