Players who AFK farm in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds are on developer Bluehole’s watch listing, because it prepares to handle the issue.
Speaking with PC Gamer at PAX West, producer Chang-Han Kim stated the group had been conscious of AFK farming and that it plans to deal with the issue quickly, though admitted he wasn’t certain of the answer simply but.
“We have the team working to analyse what’s actually going on there,” he stated.
“We know that the portion of players that are AFKing.. isn’t that high as of now, but we do want to create a tool or vehicles to prevent players from just trying to earn BP [Battle Points] and not playing the game.”
“It could be us just adjusting the balance of BPs being earnt after each game or just from a structure point of view, preventing AFKs as a whole. We haven’t full decided on a direction for that yet.”
AFK farming is simple in PUBG, with gamers populating video games and incomes Battle Points with out really taking part in the sport. Battle Points can then be spent on in-game gadgets to promote on the marketplace.
Although a strong plan isn’t in place to cope with this downside, Chang-Han Kim stated that as an organization Bluehole has a lot of experiencing coping with farming bots in MMOs.
