Greetings everyone!
Even in the heart of winter here in Korea, today’s surprising 10°C high feels remarkably mild. Lately, our local temperatures have been quite temperamental, swinging wildly between -10°C and 10°C. In many ways, game development mirrors this erratic rhythm; some days we sprint through milestones, while others feel like we are merely holding our ground. Regardless of the pace, the most critical factor is our steady, unyielding momentum.
This week, we dedicated a significant amount of time to refining the “Record System.” In a life simulation, it is incredibly easy to lose track of a Zoi’s individual journey the moment you look away. Because players often act as observers, understanding a Zoi’s motivations and actions can be difficult without a clear narrative trail. We’ve realized that a system to capture memories, diaries, and activity logs is essential to build sooner rather than later. This feature will help players piece together their Zoi’s day and gain deeper insight into their evolving behavioral patterns.
Even when our progress isn’t immediately flashy, I firmly believe that every line of code and every brainstormed idea serves as a vital building block for the final version of inZOI.
I hope you find this week’s development updates insightful. As for my personal plans, I’m heading out to catch the theatrical re-release of The Lord of the Rings! Wishing you all a fantastic and rejuvenating weekend.
