Welcome to the LSS Patch 2 update notes! This release delivers over 185 fixes throughout the game. Highlights include correcting a tiled lightmap artifact that made lighting appear pixelated, addressing CS gas resistance in suspects, resolving multiple crash scenarios, and improving blood saturation on clothing.

Levels

  • Grid‐pattern lightmap artifact: eliminated the checkerboard overlay that degraded lighting resolution.

    • Ongoing work on refining shadow-edge resolution.
  • Standardized LOD transitions across every map.
  • Fixed unbreakable windows on assorted levels.
  • Removed floating shower handles post‐glass destruction.

Training

  • Applied missing textures in the split-team segment.
  • Resolved soft‐lock when issuing rapid split commands.
  • Restored progression after completing the shooting-range tutorial.
  • Fixed crash triggered by aiming immediately after using the ammo box.
  • Addressed crash when manipulating civilians during tablet exercises.
  • Corrected visual glitches on one hockey-mask suspect.
  • Ensured suspects always spawn armed.

Station

  • Now able to approach the mission-select table from any angle.

  • Repaired overly absorbent mirror surfaces.

Feature Updates

Gameplay → General Performance

  • Introduced a simple data asset for modders to spawn custom actors on BeginPlay.
  • Enabled lobby‐size expansion via mods.
  • Refined modded matchmaking logic:
    1. Hosts with mods or “Allow Modded Players” create modded lobbies.
    2. Modded players can only join modded lobbies.
    3. Unmodded players with “Join Modded Lobbies” enabled can join any lobby.

Visuals

  • Continued converting Cascade effects to Niagara.

UI & Experience

  • Added themed placeholder avatars for unlinked cross-platform users.

Known Issues

  • Public match search UI must be reopened to retry failed searches.
  • Lightmap shadow edges may still appear low-res.
  • Cannot issue SWAT orders while looking skyward.
  • ADS speed modifier for grips is nonfunctional.
  • Certain arm models react to lighting differently than heads, causing uneven shine.
