Players devise a variety of tactics to survive a raid.
In Arc Raiders, voice chat connects you not only with allies but also with enemies. A PC Gamer reporter shared ways to turn that feature into a survival advantage.
A request for mercy can sometimes work, but if an opponent has already knocked you down, they’re unlikely to be moved by politeness.
Eli Gould recommended a simple tactic that actually pays off — start complaining about your life:
Politeness can sometimes pay off, but if you’ve already been taken down, good manners rarely matter. So you’ve got a few choices. The first is to fall into utter despair — I mean full melodrama, the kind of small-tragedy routine you’d expect from the shrimp in “Underwater Brotherhood.” A couple of times I got lucky by tearfully detailing how awful my year had been and how little joy remained in my life — players would often leave me to crawl away or even revive me with a defibrillator. In those cases I always rewarded them by sharing my loot.
There’s another approach: bribe the enemy. If you have a valuable upgrade in your inventory (or you’re willing to fib), tuck it into a hidden pocket — the opponent won’t be able to loot it from your corpse and might agree to spare you.
