Tactical Stealth Shooter From Blogger BigfryTV Released — Transience Receives Mixed Reviews on Steam

Not everyone was pleased with the quality of the new release.

Resurgent recently launched Transience on PC via Steam. The project is led by the creator of the YouTube channel BigfryTV, known for his videos about a variety of shooters.

Transience is a tactical stealth shooter: the protagonist can employ various gadgets and upgrade weapons.

The narrative takes place in 2056 and centers on a mercenary who “found himself on the wrong side of the sights”:

Inspired by the dark stories that shaped our upbringing, the campaign unfolds with tense pacing that keeps the player constantly on edge. Eight missions set across eight carefully hand-crafted locations tell the tale of a single person struggling to break free from Transience.

Transience has received “mixed” reviews on Steam, holding a 66% rating. Some players point out technical issues; the artificial intelligence has been called “broken,” and the game described as dull.

One player described their impressions of the game this way:

This is a slow tactical shooter—and not in a flattering sense. “Slow” in that the game seems engineered to stretch your playtime up to the two-hour refund window so you can’t return this damned game on the grounds that it’s boring and terrible.

Nevertheless, many players have praised Transience and pointed out that bugs are being actively fixed.
