Operationally, all three systems draw power from a single 250W PC power supply—sufficient to run one console at peak performance while keeping the others in standby. The PS5 and Xbox Series X motherboards are integrated directly into the custom chassis, while the Switch 2 rests in a bespoke internal dock, allowing it to be removed for handheld play whenever desired.
While some might call it an elaborate HDMI switcher, there is something undeniably captivating about seeing the “Big Three” living in harmony. The ability to jump between platforms in seconds with the press of a button is remarkably satisfying. “I started this project as a bit of a joke,” XNZ admitted, “but I was surprised by how genuinely useful it turned out to be.”
This isn’t the first time modders have tried to unify the gaming landscape. Tech-savvy fans may recall the early 2000s and “Yoshi’s Boxx,” a legendary custom rig that combined a high-end gaming PC with an original Xbox, PS2, GameCube, NES, and Atari 2600. It was massive and chaotic, yet absolutely brilliant for its time.
The Ningtendo PXBOX 5 follows that same innovative lineage but with a much more refined aesthetic. As XNZ concludes, the project serves as a physical plea to the industry: “I hope this remains a functional reminder to those obsessed with exclusives: stop what you’re doing. End the fighting! It’s time to stop the console war!”
Finally, the top PS5 titles, the best of Xbox Series X, and the latest Switch hits can coexist in a single machine.
