That brings us to the latest update: PopoRogue now has its own English translation patch, completing the trilogy. According to a post on Romhacking.net, the first PopoloCrois translation appeared three years ago, but it took contributions from multiple teams over more than five years to localize the entire PS1 series.
This patch is more than a straight translation. The team also modified the game to grant access to several exclusive items that originally required a demo disc and the Japan-only PocketStation accessory. As translator keke_094 noted on Bluesky, “Something impossible is possible now,” a line that applies equally to both the newly unlocked content and the chance to play these titles in English.
