Soft Cell have shared a new song from their forthcoming album *Happiness Not Included, which has a new release date of May 6. This one’s called “Purple Zone,” and it’s a collaboration with their British synth pop peers Pet Shop Boys. Listen to it below.

Pet Shop Boys attended one of Soft Cell’s 2021 concerts, and after the show, plans were hatched for the duo to remix “Purple Zone”—a favorite from the performance. Instead, the session turned into a full collaboration.

“Working with the Pet Shop Boys was a pleasure, and this track is the perfect combination of us and them,” said Soft Cell’s Marc Almond in a statement.

Pet Shop Boys added: “We are thrilled to collaborate with such an inspirational duo as Soft Cell on this gorgeous song.”
