SILENT HILL: Townfall Teaser Trailer

Konami is co-publishing the game alongside Annapurna Interactive—the prestigious label behind hits like Outer Wilds and Stray—while Screen Burn Interactive (formerly No Code) handles the primary development. While the partnership is promising, long-time Silent Hill enthusiasts are understandably wary. In a 2025 development update accompanying their studio name change, Screen Burn revealed that Townfall has been in the works since 2020. The studio, known for the sci-fi thriller Observation, admitted that while they are eager to show more, they are a “small team making a big game.”

As it stands, Townfall is entering its sixth year of development with no gameplay footage, release window, or significant updates beyond its initial minute-long teaser. For many fans, the sentiment is one of cautious neutrality. While Konami sparked hope with the reveal of Silent Hill f, other recent entries in the franchise have been less consistent. Until more concrete information surfaces, the fog surrounding Townfall remains as thick as the town itself.

Silent Hill veteran Akira Yamaoka suggests that the franchise’s core identity remains intact, noting that Konami’s “philosophical approach” to horror has not wavered over the years.
