Nightingale, a Victorian shared-world survival crafting game from ex-BioWare developers including ex-BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn, has been announced.

Flynn announced that he was building a new studio for Improbable back in 2019 and until today, it remained simply an internal Improbable studio in Edmonton, Canada. Flynn and the team announced during The Game Awards 2021 tonight that the studio is officially Inflexion Games and its first game is Nightingale.

Set in a Victorian “gaslamp” fantasy setting, Nightingale will task players with exploring worlds in search of the rumored last haven of humanity called…you guessed it: Nightingale. It’s currently in development and slated for an Early Access release on PC sometime next year.

Players can expect forests, swamps, deserts, and more in the lands of the Fae to explore. Along the way, they’ll need to construct estates, farms, communities, and more to survive using crafted tools, gear, and weapons. You’ll be able to do all of this alongside friends and foes alike, thanks to the shared world aspect of Nightingale.
