Rayman Creator Hints at Possible Remake of the Original 1995 Platformer

Although *Rayman Legends* is frequently cited as one of Ubisoft’s crowning achievements, it essentially signaled the character’s hiatus. For over a decade, the French publisher prioritized iterative releases in the *Assassin’s Creed*, *Watch Dogs*, and *Far Cry* franchises, leaving the limbless hero in the shadows. However, recent developments suggest that a major comeback is finally on the horizon.

The character’s resurgence began with a guest appearance in the *Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope* DLC, *Rayman in The Phantom Show*, followed by a surprisingly edgy cameo in the Netflix series *Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix*. More telling evidence includes Ubisoft’s recent recruitment for a “prestigious AAA title” within the Rayman IP. Coupled with a recent age rating in Australia for a “Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition,” it seems increasingly likely that the icon is officially returning to the spotlight.
