Kinetic Games is expanding its horizons beyond development with the launch of a dedicated publishing label for independent projects.

Kinetic Games, the studio behind the hit cooperative horror title Phasmophobia, has officially announced the formation of its publishing arm, Kinetic Publishing. This new venture is designed to empower indie developers by offering full-spectrum support throughout the production cycle, from initial funding to legal expertise and global marketing strategies.

Daniel Knight, the studio’s founder and lead, shared that the inspiration for the label stemmed from his personal journey. Having navigated the early development of Phasmophobia as a solo creator, he recognized the profound need for a support system and now aims to provide that foundation for other indie authors. Knight emphasized that Kinetic Publishing will curate a small, exclusive roster of partners to ensure every project receives meticulous, hands-on attention.

The publishing division is led by five senior members of Kinetic Games, including Knight himself and Asim Tanvir, Director of Marketing and Partnerships, who brings experience from industry giants like 2K, Konami, and Zynga. Tanvir highlighted that the team intends to manage no more than three projects simultaneously, allowing them to provide high-level guidance without overextending, while ensuring that the ongoing development of Phasmophobia remains a top priority.
