Path of Exile “Mirage” League to Overhaul Atlas and Improve QoL — Secrets, Currency Exchange, and New Mechanics Revealed
The development team has announced an extensive overhaul of several core gameplay elements.
Grinding Gear Games recently unveiled fresh details regarding the upcoming “Mirage” league for Path of Exile. The studio has prepared significant adjustments targeting the endgame, the Atlas system, and various other central mechanics.
Furthermore, new points of interest have been integrated into the world; for instance, a small islet will appear within the Karui Fortress, where all inhabitants are guaranteed to drop a base tattoo upon defeat:

Key updates to the Atlas Passive Tree include:
- The Atlas Keystones “Shadow Shaping,” “Bold Undertakings,” and “Singular Focus” have been removed.
- The “Overloaded Circuits” Keystone now grants the following property: “Your maps open with 5 additional random unallocated Notable Atlas Passives.”
- A new Keystone, “Untrodden Paths,” has been added: Divination Cards found in your maps will now be from two other random maps instead of the map you are currently running.
- A new Keystone, “Synthesized Stability,” has been introduced: Completing a map objective within a created region will instead collapse a different map within that region.
- The “Unimaginable Horrors” passive now offers a 25% chance to duplicate rewards from Vaal Vessels in corrupted side areas (increased from 20%).
Small passive nodes leading to the “Friends in High Places” Atlas passive now provide new bonuses instead of increasing Heist Contract levels:
