Originally hailing from Darwin and now based in the United States, VASSY has solidified her status as a titan in the EDM landscape. The release of “On Me” follows a creative pivot in 2025, when she released her BossAcoustics EP—a project that allowed her to explore her musical heritage. “Delving into Bossa Nova was a way to reconnect with the foundational sounds that first inspired me to sing,” she reflects. “After spending so much of my career in the high-velocity world of Dance/EDM, I felt a pull to return to my roots. It was a full-circle experience that allowed me to rediscover my voice and artistry away from the heavy production of the main stage. It stripped everything back to the core of why I fell in love with music.”
