Hilary Duff announced Wednesday (Oct. 21) that she will release a holiday EP, Holiday Things, on Friday (Oct. 23). It includes three original songs.

The EP also features a cover of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and an updated version of her cover of Wham!’s “Last Christmas,” which first appeared on her 2003 Christmas album, Santa Claus Lane. The new originals are “All You Want for Christmas Is Me,” “I Want (A Few Small Things)” and “I Guess It’s Christmas.” The first title plays on Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which spent 22 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100.

“I guess Christmas came early … Holiday Things is yours this Friday 10.23,” Duff wrote on Instagram.

The EP follows a busy year of music for Duff. Her first album in a decade, Luck … or Something, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and has fueled her ongoing Lucky Me arena tour. She recently added more dates, which extend the tour through November 2027.

“When I think about this era, for me it took a lot of guts,” she said in a recent interview with Billboard. “I showed up for sure, but the only reason it’s working is because everyone’s showing up, and I don’t even exactly know why, but I’m really excited to see it and feel it and feel something that I’ve gotten a little taste of now. Obviously it’s in my body from before, but I’m such a different version of myself than I was back then, so it’s really magical to do this again.”

After Luck … or Something, the Lizzie McGuire alum released an EP of re-recorded versions of her earlier hits, titled (Mine). It includes the 2000s Hot 100 hits “Come Clean,” “What Dreams Are Made Of,” “Wake Up” and “So Yesterday.” Her most recent release is the single “CATastrophe,” written for the upcoming Cat in the Hat movie.
