Martin Garrix Enlists Madonna, U2 and Ed Sheeran for Debut Pop Album ‘MARTY’

Dutch DJ Martin Garrix will release his debut pop album, MARTY, on March 5, 2027, via STMPD Records/Darkroom Records. He broke through more than a decade ago with “Animals.”
The 14-track project has Garrix stepping in front of the microphone. He confirmed the news Wednesday (Oct. 21) at an exclusive Spotify Pop-Up show that opened Amsterdam Dance Event. At the show, his top listeners heard several forthcoming songs for the first time.
“Even though I’ve been doing this for most of my life, I still feel like I’m just at the beginning,” he said. “That’s really what this album is about – growth, moving through different chapters of life, and understanding that the love we give and the energy we put out into the world don’t just disappear when we’re gone. I want to take people with me on that journey and let them experience all those different stages of growth alongside me.”
MARTY takes its title from Garrix’s first DJ alias, DJ Marty, which also references his early slogan, “Party with DJ Marty.” The opening track, “Catharina,” is a tribute to his mother and starts the album’s larger narrative, with each song serving as a new chapter in his story.
Several of Garrix’s collaborators are set to appear on MARTY, including Madonna, U2, Ed Sheeran and Aitana. Garrix previously assisted Madonna on “Bizarre,” a deep cut from her Billboard 200-topping album Confessions II. This year he also shared new collaborations with Sheeran (“Repeat It”) and U2 (“Fireflies”). The album’s latest single is “This Dream of You,” a progressive house track that arrived earlier this month during the intro to his Tomorrowland headlining set.
Garrix is on his Martin Garrix Americas Tour, which recently finished its first leg. The next leg begins Oct. 31 at OMNIA Nightclub in Las Vegas and includes several cities across Central and South America. The tour ends with the three-day Ultra Music Festival in Miami on March 26-28.
Garrix has six career entries on the Billboard Hot 100. They include the top 40 hits “Animals” (No. 21) and “In the Name of Love” with Bebe Rexha (No. 24). He also has 32 entries on the Dance Airplay chart, including the No. 1 hits “Higher Ground” (with John Martin), “Told You So” (with Jex) and “MAD” (with Lauv).
