Palworld Lead ‘Very Sad’ as Fantasy MMO New World Ends: “If Amazon Wants to Slip Me the 2019 Files…”

New World: Aeternum

Fans quickly echoed that sentiment. One reply called New World’s audio “God-tier” and lamented the lost potential, while others praised specific effects—citing the satisfying wood-chopping sound and the resonant mining echoes as standout moments that added to the game’s immersion.

“The sound design in New World is absolutely phenomenal,” wrote another player. “Those echoes when mining? Chef’s kiss.” Community reviews on the game’s official Steam page similarly highlight the audio and visuals, with players saying the sound effects contribute heavily to the experience.

Although development is ending, Amazon intends to keep New World’s servers online through 2026. However, the MMO has been removed from sale, so new players cannot currently purchase and join the world.
