The Wake of the Water update notes for Enshrouded span a full 16 pages; the complete changelog can be found on Steam.
Keen Games has introduced dynamic water: rivers, lakes and waterfalls are no longer just scenery — you can swim, dive and integrate them into base construction. Players can carve their own channels and aquatic structures, and sometimes inadvertently flood interiors.
The update brings a new biome — the Veilwater Basin. This tropical region features picturesque beaches, forgotten temples, submerged ruins and a host of secrets. It’s also populated by a new foe, the Draki.
New additions include hefty swords with unique abilities and new armor sets, and the fishing system now yields rare rewards. Gear balancing was reworked, the level cap raised to 45, and loot, regeneration and weapon stats have been improved.
Players can build with water, cultivate aquatic plants, and decorate bases with text signs. NPC and animal behaviors have been refined, new sound effects added, and upgraded lighting and water reflections make Embervale even more striking.
The game is currently on sale at 20% off through November 24.
