“We understand that many are being more selective with their spending right now,” he continued. “However, our conversion rates have been through the roof. This confirms that players are still willing to invest in quality—you just have to demonstrate clearly why your game is worth their hard-earned money.”

With this newfound momentum, Mahler is looking toward the 1.0 launch with high expectations for its full release and console debuts. “I’m optimistic that we can replicate the trajectory Larian achieved with Baldur’s Gate 3. Achieving that would give us a platform to continuously evolve Wicked, making it deeper and more expansive over the years,” he noted.

Mahler envisions the game eventually joining the ranks of evergreen hits that transcend their genre. “Ultimately, I see Wicked following the path of titles like Minecraft, Stardew Valley, and Grand Theft Auto V,” he shared. “These are games that don’t just launch; they continue to grow and flourish for years to come.”
