Ninja Gaiden 4 Shows PS5 Pro’s Potential: 120 FPS and New Graphics Modes
Ninja Gaiden 4 on the PS5 Pro delivers smoother performance, crisper visuals, and greater stability compared to the standard PS5.
The developers introduced multiple graphics presets: the base PS5 provides three options — Quality Mode (30 fps, maximum detail), Performance Mode (60 fps, medium settings), and a 120 fps mode. The PS5 Pro adds a fourth option — Pro Mode — which preserves high graphical fidelity while sustaining a stable 60 fps at native 1440p resolution.
Upscaling methods also differ. The standard PS5 uses AMD FSR, whereas the PS5 Pro employs PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), delivering a sharper image and improved detail during fast camera movement. Even during the most intense moments the game maintains smoothness, and the optimization is nearly flawless.
In practice, Pro Mode strikes a strong balance between visual quality and performance — offering clear imagery, fluid animation, and responsive controls. On the regular PS5 a 60 fps configuration remains the best compromise, but the PS5 Pro build demonstrates obvious advantages.
