Dead By Daylight Movie Adaptation Lands Screenwriters

David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, the scribe behind The Conjuring 2, and Mirrors filmmaker Alexandre Aja have officially joined the creative team for the upcoming Dead by Daylight film adaptation. This project marks the inaugural collaboration between these two horror luminaries, a partnership that promises to deliver a truly chilling cinematic experience.

The production is being spearheaded by a powerhouse trio of independent studios: Blumhouse, Atomic Monster, and Behaviour Interactive.

Blumhouse head Jason Blum is confident that this writing duo will provide the project with both nail-biting suspense and profound character development. While the script is now in capable hands, a director for the adaptation has yet to be announced.

Mirroring the mechanics of the hit asymmetrical horror game, the narrative follows a group of survivors desperately attempting to repair five generators to escape the clutches of a relentless, bloodthirsty killer.
