Ryan Adams ticketholders within the UK and Ireland say they’ve been refused refunds for his forthcoming concerts. The exhibits haven’t been canceled, regardless of the abuse allegations that prompted his album Big Colors to be shelved. Fans have criticized the venues, ticket firms, and promoter SJM Concerts on social media, because the BBC reports. One Pitchfork reader reported receiving the next e-mail from ticket firm See Tickets: “The event is still going ahead therefore in line with our agreed terms and conditions, refunds are not available.”

After the allegations surfaced, Pitchfork emailed SJM and numerous venues—together with the Academy Music Group, which is about to host a number of exhibits—for remark. With the exception of the Royal Albert Hall, none have but replied. “We are aware of these allegations, but cannot comment further at this time,” the Royal Albert Hall spokesperson informed Pitchfork on February 20.

As The New York Times reported this month, a number of girls have come ahead accusing Adams of abuse starting from emotion manipulation to sexual misconduct. The Times report included interviews with Phoebe Bridgers, Adams’ ex-wife Mandy Moore, singer-songwriter Courtney Jaye, an underage fan, and different girls. Adams has denied the allegations.

Karen Elson and Liz Phair joined the ladies coming ahead with statements about their very own experiences with Adams. Elson claimed she had a “traumatizing experience” with Adams. Phair, who beforehand collaborated with Adams, mentioned there have been “upsetting” similarities between her dealings with Adams and people of the ladies within the Times report. The FBI are looking into Adams’ alleged sexual communications with an underage fan, in keeping with one other report by The New York Times.
