Amistech Games has officially launched My Winter Car into Early Access on Steam. Serving as a direct sequel to the acclaimed My Summer Car, this installment significantly ramps up the challenge, immersing players in the unforgiving and bone-chilling atmosphere of a brutal Finnish winter.
In My Winter Car, players are tasked with acquiring, assembling, and maintaining a vintage vehicle from the ground up. The meticulous mechanical simulation involves nearly 200 unique components for the engine and chassis. Players must navigate a complex economy, trading parts and managing their meager finances to decide their vehicle’s ultimate purpose—whether it becomes a reliable daily driver, a rugged rally contender, or a high-performance track machine.
Key gameplay features include a realistic body temperature simulation where hypothermia poses a lethal threat, dozens of kilometers of treacherous snow-covered terrain to explore, and a diverse fleet of secondary vehicles to interact with.
Notably, Amistech Games has issued a stern warning to prospective players, explicitly advising against jumping into My Winter Car without prior experience in the original My Summer Car.
