Mouse: P.I. For Hire Developers Reveal What Sets Their Shooter Apart

Mouse: P.I. For Hire isn’t just another first-person shooter. Polish studio Fumi Games sets the title apart with a visual aesthetic inspired by classic 1930s animated films. The developers have released a new trailer outlining why the project deserves attention.

The game’s launch has been pushed back — it’s now expected in early 2026. That hasn’t stopped Fumi Games from actively showcasing the project. During a joint Xbox and IGN indie showcase, the team revealed behind-the-scenes footage of Mouse: P.I. For Hire’s development.

In the video the creators explain what distinguishes their game from other shooters and reveal fresh gameplay footage. While it draws on traditional shooter mechanics, the title doesn’t aim to be a retro “boomer shooter.” Each encounter will shift depending on which of the ten unique biomes the player enters.

Fumi Games also confirmed weapon modifiers and upgrades that will let players tailor combat styles and add greater depth to progression.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire will launch on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
