Most comments under the videos are negative. Viewers criticise presumed “predatory” monetization mechanics — none of which have been officially announced — and the absence of a PS5 version. Still, the like-to-dislike ratio (6.7K likes versus 3 dislikes) indicates the overall sentiment skews positive.

Some commentators argue Sony missed an opportunity by not unveiling its own multiplayer Horizon title — reportedly being developed by Guerrilla — alongside this announcement. Among the more vocal PlayStation fans there’s evident irritation; they feel their platform’s interests are being overlooked. That said, there may be sound reasoning behind such choices: NCSOFT is preparing its offering, while the Amsterdam-based project can carve out its own adjacent niche.
