The narrative delves into the relentless ascension of a fanatical heretic within the Word Bearers Legion. Zardu Layak has been granted a vision of his destiny, revealing his role as the linchpin in a monumental ritual destined to irrevocably alter the face of the galaxy.

Yet, a single obstacle delays his path to infamy: he is not yet prepared to embrace the dark mantle fate has decreed. The protagonist must journey to a forgotten world to claim the source of his intended power—the occult Anakatis Blades. However, the surface of Helvain teems with restless spirits, and the shadows of Layak’s past failures resurface to sow seeds of doubt.
