On occasion, a game’s technical quirks can catch even its own developer off guard.
In late December, the developer behind the survival title Misery rolled out a fresh update, introducing a new anomaly and addressing several persistent issues.
One particular glitch—and the sheer ingenuity of the players who exploited it—left the creator genuinely astonished:
Bunker and shop doors can no longer be demolished using mines. (Seriously, how did you even think of this exploit???)
Key enhancements and new features include:
- The multiplayer netcode has been overhauled to eliminate map desynchronization issues.
- The radiance counter has been fixed, ensuring it no longer resets unexpectedly.
- Players can now access the menu post-death, making it easier to kick or ban problematic users and curb spawn camping.
- Field of View (FOV) settings are now adjustable directly from the main menu.
- Building and furniture placement can now be cancelled instantly using the right-click button.
- The “Kick Player” option has been upgraded to “Ban Player.” Once banned, offenders are immediately eliminated and barred from re-entering the session.
- A critical radiation bug has been squashed; players will no longer succumb to lethal doses while simply resting inside the safety of a bunker.
- An issue involving stacking artifact effects when looting them from fallen enemies has been resolved.
