Mechanoids 3 Developers Discuss Gameplay and Interface Improvements
The project has been reactivated and is steadily moving toward release.
The team behind “Mechanoids: War Protocol” (A.I.M.3: War Protocol) has recently reemerged with an update.
They released a short teaser and shared details on development progress:
- Functional indicators for rockets, bombs, and guns have been implemented. The design is provisional: “Indicators won’t stay on-screen permanently — in calm moments they’ll hide so they don’t obstruct the view.”
- Weapons can now overheat and malfunction; overheating alters their behavior, and not always detrimentally.
- Recoil has been added for firing and impacts, though not every weapon exhibits it.
- Additionally, the developers have refined the audio: “While the sounds are currently present and working, we will continue polishing them to a higher standard.”
