Marvel Rivals’ Daredevil Actor Encourages Players to Be Their Worst Selves: “The devil doesn’t switch off, even when he’s going negative”

Daredevil faces away from the camera in his Marvel Rivals character reveal trailer.

I’ll admit I’m no superstar in Marvel Rivals either — I only feel mildly useful when I play DPS — but this is exactly the kind of behavior that pushes games toward enforced role queues. (NetEase has publicly resisted role queues in Marvel Rivals, but the point stands: instalocking ruins the experience for many.)

While urging players with weak K/Ds to stubbornly stay in DPS isn’t especially noble, the idea of someone blasting that audio over voice chat while their teammates roast them is oddly entertaining. At the end of the day, it’s just a game.

Daredevil continues NetEase’s trend of ostentatiously styled heroes in Marvel Rivals, and his actor jokes that the attorney’s look is meant to “distract the supports.”
