While the original upload has been pulled, mirrors continue to circulate throughout the web. Aside from the revealed launch date, the teaser is relatively lean on new gameplay, though it does showcase a striking, Alien-inspired logo reveal that reinforces the project’s distinct sci-fi aesthetic.
An official announcement likely isn’t far off, considering the assets are already live on store backends. While an Xbox Developer Direct is scheduled for this week, Bungie’s status as a Sony subsidiary makes a major reveal at a Microsoft-hosted event somewhat improbable.
To date, neither Sony nor Bungie have commented on the slip-up, and no formal reveal event has been scheduled. However, a series of “behind-the-scenes” developer diaries released over the last few months suggests that the marketing machine is finally shifting into high gear.
