Manor Lords Receives Experimental Update After 10 Months

Development of the game in Steam Early Access is continuing at a steady pace.

The creator of the medieval city-building strategy Manor Lords has returned with a new update. Greg Styczeń has not yet moved the title to a full release; instead, he will run a beta test first:

“Sorry for the long wait. I’m rethinking what went wrong so this won’t happen again. I focused on growing the development team and ended up tackling too many issues at once.”

According to the developer, “some tasks appeared harmless at first but ultimately turned into huge rabbit holes.” He says he’s learned from that experience and will now concentrate on smaller updates delivered more frequently.

In the beta patch 0.8.035 players are invited to try a new progression system, perks (still under development); there is also “dynamic population growth”, various parameters like crop yield, and other effects.
