Resident Evil Requiem Played on the Ayaneo NEXT 2 Handheld: A Pleasure for the Rich
A new demonstration video from Ayaneo has provided gamers with an in-depth look at the performance and comfort of playing the survival horror title Resident Evil Requiem on their premium NEXT 2 handheld gaming PC.
Although Ayaneo does not plan to begin shipping its flagship NEXT 2 to pre-order customers until June 2026, the developers have already released new footage of the device in action. The video highlights the hardware’s capabilities, featuring the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor as it powers through gameplay of Resident Evil Requiem.
Currently, the Ayaneo NEXT 2 configured with the aforementioned high-end processor, 64GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD is available for $2,299. For those requiring even more substantial resources, a top-tier version with 128GB of RAM and 2TB of storage is priced at $3,499.
Additionally, a more accessible variant featuring the AMD Ryzen AI Max 385 processor, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of internal storage is offered at a starting price of $1,799.
The device features a stunning 9.06-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2400×1504, a 5280Hz PWM dimming frequency, and a peak brightness of 1100 nits. It supports versatile refresh rates of 60, 120, 144, and 165Hz. Operating on Windows 11 Home, the NEXT 2 is equipped with an efficient dual-fan cooling system, a massive 116Wh battery, TMR joysticks, Hall effect triggers, dual touchpads, two USB-C ports, and a precision six-axis gyroscope.
In terms of physical presence, the Ayaneo NEXT 2 measures 341.69 × 146.24 × 26.15 mm and has a weight of approximately 1426 grams.
