CNCO is giving their last-ever concert as a fivesome on Friday night (May 14), marking the last time Joel Pimentel performs with the group.
The news was announced earlier this week, on Sunday, when the Latin group announced that “after five and a half unforgettable and life-changing years together,” Pimentel decided to exit CNCO to grow and explore new artistic avenues.
The news hit the CNCOwners fandom hard, with the majority of fans saying they support Pimentel on his new venture but find his exit hard to believe.

When is CNCO’s last day together? May 14. In partnership with Ocesa, CNCO will perform some of the biggest hits that made them a household name, in addition to songs from their new album Déjà Vu, which debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart on Feb. 20. Will CNCO bring a new member onboard? No. CNCO will remain a quartet with the remaining group members — Christopher Velez, Erick Brian Colon, Richard Camacho and Zabdiel de Jesus — who are excited about the group’s new era. “We want you all to know that while Joel is leaving and will be pursuing new opportunities, we are and will always be brothers. We support him in his next chapter, and will always, most importantly, remain a family,” the statement emphasized.
Will they change their band name? No. CNCO will remain faithful to the group’s name that they were blessed with after winning the Univision reality show La Banda and formed as a group in 2015.
What’s Joel going to do next? According to his own personal statement on Instagram, he’s ready to “start building his own path and career,” dubbing it as a “new beginning.” “I can’t wait to share my new project with y’all,” he wrote.
Is Joel working on new music? Yes. Billboard can confirm that Pimentel is in the studio working on his solo music and that he will likely continue to be managed by Walter Kolm, who also manages CNCO.
