Beyond her status as a global musical powerhouse, Taylor Swift has seemingly already embraced the role of Travis Kelce’s spouse—regardless of whether they have officially exchanged vows.
In the April 1 episode of the New Heights podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs standout and his brother, Jason Kelce, welcomed Jerrod Calhoun, the head basketball coach for the University of Cincinnati. While discussing the nuances of collegiate sports, Travis admitted to the guest, “Coach, you’re really getting me fired up right now.”
The NFL star, who excelled in both football and basketball during his high school years in Ohio, joked about making a return to the court. “I think I might still have a single semester of eligibility left,” he suggested.
Calhoun was quick to play along, offering a tempting incentive. “We’ll set you up with a great NIL deal,” the coach joked, before adding a caveat: “But you’ve got to clear it with your wife first.”
Travis didn’t hesitate for a second. “Exactly, right,” he replied, before humorously calling out to an off-camera Swift, “Sweetie, I’m heading back to school!”
The 14-time Grammy winner and the Grotesquerie lead have been engaged since August. At the time of the announcement, the couple shared glimpses of a romantic proposal involving a hidden rose garden at their residence, captioned with the charming line: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Since that milestone, the pair has remained remarkably private about their wedding logistics, leading many fans to speculate that a clandestine ceremony may have already occurred. However, a few details have slipped through the cracks; the “Anti-Hero” singer previously mentioned her desire for an extensive guest list and noted that longtime friend Ed Sheeran would likely take the stage during the reception.
