While the compilation isn’t strictly essential—the titles range from surprisingly polished to predictably underwhelming—it holds significant nostalgic weight. From the ambitious pseudo-3D first-person segments on the SNES to the exceptional 8-bit audio score of the NES title, there is plenty here for fans to love. It is unfortunate to see a publisher dedicated to preservation struggle to maintain the digital availability of its own curated library.

Though it may not rank among the greatest SNES titles of all time, those Doom-inspired indoor levels remain etched in the memories of many retro gamers.
