It Takes Two: Josef Farès explains the gameplay mechanics of his coop game '

When he’s not having sex at social events or trolling Microsoft for the “messy” name of his Xbox Series, Josef Farès is a game designer with great ideas. For him, video games must be shared and therefore played with several people. We saw it with Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons in 2013, then A Way Out in 2018 and in 2021, it will be It Takes Two’s turn to prove that two of us are always more fun. In this regard, Josef Farès has decided to dissect the gameplay of his next title to come on March 26 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. We learn that the two dolls that we are going to direct are in reality only Cody and May, the two parents of Rose who through an unexplained spell, will find themselves in the skin of these characters immersed in a reduced world and populated by fierce creatures. Josef Farès explains to us that the number of game possibilities is such that each game is unique. Each event linked to the story will have consequences in the gameplay, which is intended to be adapted for duo play. For example, we see Cody swinging jelly through the Sap Gun, while May is responsible for exploding them. Everything has been designed to be played for two, and not otherwise, whether it is the action scenes, the puzzles and even the exploration. While waiting for the game to be released, Josef Farès reminds us that it will be sold at a low price of € 39.99. It deserves to be highlighted.
